The Process:
Establishing the Needs and Criteria
Before we can accept any assignment we complete a rigorous assessment of the position to be filled. For Medipeople it is key to gather an in-depth understanding of your organization and the challenges it faces and the position on offer. We also require comprehensive details of the position and remuneration, as well as a summary of the experience, qualifications and competencies to excel in the role. If we are to potentially sell any opportunity to a candidate or proactively head hunt on your behalf, we need to know what it is like to work within your business. Once this is established Medipeople will put together an assignment brief and definitive recruitment plan.
Identify Targets and Candidates
Once the recruitment plan is agreed and timescales are put in place Medipeople enter the search phase of the assignment. This combines the most effective combination of database searches, networking, advertising and headhunting. On the basis of our research, we approach potential candidates on an informed basis.
Short-listing and interviewing
Once Medipeople has collated a comprehensive long list of candidates that meet the strict pre-screening criteria the candidates will be met an interviewed by a senior member of our team. In the case of international applicants video calls are used to conduct interviews. The intention is to verify the capabilities of the applicant in line with their written credentials and their fit with your organisation. Following the interviewing process a short list of candidates that we believe match all the criteria asked for the role will be finalised and presented to the candidate. It is our expectation that the shortlist or identified individual will be invited for interview. Medipeople is available to assist with the organisation of the interview and provide some interview techniques.
Offers and Placement
Once the interview process has been completed and both the client and candidate are happy, Medipeople can if required act as a mediator in making sure that both parties are satisfied with the package on offer.
Confidentiality
Medipeople is fully aware that some assignments may be confidential in nature and will act with the necessary discretion when required to do so.
Advertising
Advertising is often used as part of the overall recruitment process. The client will be briefed on this in relation to a specific campaign and will be billed directly.
Migration Services
Medipeople Migrations services are Australia’s leading practitioners of migration law dedicated to doctors and Australian based hospitals and medical practices. As such we provide migration and processing services to facilities which require assistance with managing the registration and visa applications for internationally trained medical practitioners. In the case of retained assignments migration services are included as part of the overall recruitment fee.
Fees
Akin to contingency recruitment Medipeople charges a fee based on the percentage of the candidates starting income. A third is payable upfront to commence the assignment and the balance on completion. Full terms of business are available on request.
