Medipeople was founded in 2005 by an Australian health care professional. We identified the need for a medical recruitment organization that provided a superior level of knowledge, understanding and service to that currently in the market.
James Whitaker based in Sydney is a highly experienced leader in medical recruitment. James heads the hospital locum and international medical recruitment sectors and is active in the executive search division.
James started his medical recruitment career in 2001 as Human Resources manager in the National Health Service. He has subsequently led medical recruitment teams and formed divisions at Medicure (London) and Medacs (Sydney) establishing key client relationships with public and private hospitals.
James earned a B.Sc. Honours in Psychology from the University of Leicester and is a member of the Recruitment Consulting Services Association.
Having previously held senior positions in other recruitment companies, Chris realised his vision of raising the bar for Medical Recruitment within Australia and hence Medipeople was born. The success of the company is contributed to service philosophy, consistency, and commitment to meeting market demand and adding value to our key stakeholders.
Chris has over 15 years’ experience in medical recruitment and heads up the General Practice and Specialist divisions. His in-depth knowledge and expertise of the Australian Healthcare system coupled with his commitment to delivery ensures a high quality service and clients objectives are achieved.
Chris is an Australian trained healthcare professional with a strong background in business. Before transitioning into recruitment he worked in public hospitals and private practice in NSW and Queensland.
Phil Brown is passionate about personal branding, putting customers first and content marketing that provides value to audiences and delivers on business objectives. An award winning marketer, his experience spans content marketing, brand and communications in both agencies and client side. Phil is also a non-executive director on several boards advising management on content marketing strategy.
Phil has a B. Media from Macquarie University.
Sam looks after our compliance and several other areas of internal business operations. He is a trained business professional with specialty expertise in compliance, communications and systems.

We aim to remove all unnecessary bureaucratic practices and processes, where possible, without compromising our legal requirements and any professional standards applicable.

We will ensure that our service and any policies are consistently applied to all our customers.
RCSA and RCSA SDS
We will adhere to the Recruitment and Consulting Service Australia Code (RCSA) and the RCSA Service Delivery Standard (RCSA SDS). We will follow the RCSA Code by obtaining a high standard of ethics, probity and professional conduct. All Medipeoples’ recruitment consultants will be required to sign a ‘statement of commitment’ to abide by the Code for Professional Practice and to support the mission of the RCSA. In regards to the RCSA SDS we aim to focus on constantly improving our customer service standards by obtaining feedback and implementing regular reviews. If it is determined that our customer service needs to be improved, Medipeople recruitment consultants will be provided the adequate training.
