Key Responsibilities
As a psychiatrist at Townsville HHS, you will provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of mental health conditions. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams will be essential in delivering integrated care for patients. Additionally, you will participate in clinical supervision, teaching, and training of junior medical staff, and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of mental health services in the region.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for UK-qualified psychiatrists who are passionate about delivering patient-centered care and eager to contribute to our mission of improving mental health services in the region. Ideal candidates will have full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK and substantial experience in psychiatry, with expertise in areas such as adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, or forensic psychiatry. A commitment to providing high-quality clinical care in a dynamic environment and strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. Experience with or a willingness to gain experience in Australian mental health systems and practices is highly valued.
